One Palette, Three Looks with Hard Candy's Desert Fever

Hey all, I hope you’re doing well and staying safe. I had this blog post prepared to share a few weeks ago and debated sharing it now but I figured we could all use a little escape from what’s going on out in the world.

If you have been following along for a while I think that it’s pretty clear that I’m no makeup artist, but I’ve definitely picked up a thing or two over the years from watching hours of YouTube videos and now Jumpropes so I decided to try my hand at a challenge that I have always loved seeing in relation to fashion: take one piece and style it three ways. This time I wanted to take a makeup palette and create three different eyeshadow looks with it. Now this has definitely been done before, but for me it was less about that and more about challenging myself to actually use more than two eyeshadows in any given palette, a true flaw that I have for someone who owns more than a dozen eyeshadow palettes.

I went to an event a month ago (truly a different lifetime ago!!) for Hard Candy, a brand that I hadn’t really tried before and left with a goodie bag of stuff including this Desert Fever palette. The colors got my mind whirling and while I ended up shying away from the purple and blue shades I was still pretty impressed with the looks that I came up with armed only with a few saved Instagram posts for inspiration and my Sigma E40 blending brush. Here are the three looks from one palette, I hope you love them and that it encourages you to try the same with palettes that you have in your collection too.
