8 Beauty Products to Help You Glow Year-Round

glow products.jpg

Fall is finally in full swing in NYC and every year I have the same questions about transitioning my routine to a new season and a recent article in Man Repeller made me confront certain realities about the changing of the seasons.

What is the appropriate week to switch from iced coffee back to black coffee?

How soon is too soon to stash the shorts and tank tops and take the sweaters out of the back of your closet and to the forefront of your drawers?

And of course, in the beauty world, when is the appropriate time to say adieu to the dew (haaaaahha I’m sorry) and to embrace matte products?

Although I do switch over to most of these seasonally-tied things eventually, I’m not quite ready to let go of the idea that we can exist here in multiples. You can layer a silky cami over a long-sleeve top. You can drink cold brew coffee in the warmth of your own apartment.

And you can certainly continue to stock up on glowy, creamy, products if that’s the look you prefer in your makeup routine.

So what’s a girl to dew? (I’m sorry I’ll stop with the dewy puns, eventually).

Here are eight products that will ensure you’re glowing from the moment you finish reading this post all through the start of the new decade.

Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow Face Illuminator, $32

Some products you feel like you need because they do something specific to your skin. This Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow Face Illuminator is truly a product that I want to have around. I can’t help but reach for it and mix it into my primer before makeup for a ridiculously pretty glow.

Glossier Futuredew, $24

You see it, you like it, you want it you got it. If you haven’t yet been sold on the Glossier hype it takes only one tap on the Instagram stories of Katie Jane Hughes to be persuaded to add this product to your cart. My full thoughts and review can be found here.

Wet N Wild Photo Focus Dewy Primer, $4

The product that literally distracted me from the actual product review I was doing in a YouTube video a few weeks back is still impressing me. And for this drugstore price and stellar quality, you really don’t have to look further for a primer that will have you looking lit in moments.

Milk Makeup Cream Highlighter in Lit, $28

Possibly my all-time favorite cream highlighter the Milk Makeup highlighter stick will have major impact with minor effort. Dab the creamy formula on the high points of your face and sit back and wait for the magic to happen.

Wet N Wild MegaGlo Hello Halo Highlighter in Goddess Glow, $6

Liquid highlighter doesn’t get a better price point than the Wet N Wild one and you’ve got to see this one to believe it. The illumination and glow factor is pretty instantaneous when you apply. I recommend picking up some product from the doe foot applicator on your fingers and dabbing in.

Glossier Play Niteshine in Platinum Rose, $20

Use sparingly or douse your face in this liquid highlight concentrate from Glossier’s whimsical sub-brand Glossier Play. Niteshine comes in four different shades, but I picked up Platinum Rose, which I think would look good on many different skin tones. A few dollops of this and you’re ready to glow.

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Dewy Highlighter in Honey Dew, $12

This is one of the newest additions to my cream highlighter collection and I have to say I’m impressed with it. It comes in two shades and is pretty budget friendly so if you’ve been looking to try out a cream highlight from a brand that you trust, this one is an easy win for you.

Fresh Vitamin C Facial Mist, $44

When you feel like your makeup hits that 2pm lull, reach for this facial mist from the one and only Fresh Beauty. This mist instantly makes me feel refreshed and the delicious citrus smell will re-awaken your senses.
