The summer after my junior year of high school, my lovely mother stumbled upon a program she thought I would love: Marist College's Pre-College Fashion Design Program. A three-week intensive program at the beautiful campus in Poughkeepsie, New York sounded like a great way to spend a few weeks of summer vacation, but that program changed the course of my life. Now, almost exactly four years later I was able to go back to Poughkeepsie with my partner in crime (yeah, that's my mom in case you didn't get that) to attend the program's Silver Needle Fashion Show. I was happy to be invited to the event as press for Keep Calm and Chiffon and was even seated front row! I also got explore Poughkeepsie a bit and got to reunite with two of my friends from my summer program, Chloe and Jourdan, who are students in the Fashion Design program at Marist. Thanks again to Silvia, Communications Director for the show for inviting me!
