My First Major Haircut Ever

A few inches makes a world of difference. That's right, after the past 12 years with my long locks I've said goodbye to the bottom half of my hair. I honestly wasn't even thinking about cutting it until I messaged my friend and hair guru Kim and asked if she was around for a cut. Initially I was just aiming for a trim, but after feeling so stuck in the rut of winter I decided to change things up. I was extremely aware of it for the first 24 hours but now it feels so natural. There's an element of lightness that struck me instantly and made a lasting impression, like a winter sunset reflected by snow banks. But on a less poetic note, any time spring wants to start being a thing again, we'll welcome it with open arms. #frozen
