My Favorite Winter Fabrics

Now that we've officially settled into the chilliness that is winter, I thought I'd quickly talk through some of my favorite fabrics to wear this season. I'm the first to admit that I'm not winter's biggest fan but as a lover of fashion I believe that there is still a way to look fabulous even when the temperatures are below freezing (as they often are in New York). First off, thick lace brocade is awesome for winter, because depending on how you style it you can sex it up or cozy it down. Another fabric that I love for the winter is corduroy. I remember wearing corduroy growing up and to have a fabric like that channeled into this cute lace up skirt makes me feel stylish, while also thinking back to some fond memories of being a kid. And as I'm sure you can already guess my personal favorite is velvet. These over-the-knee boots from Zara are my absolute dream come true. So here's to surviving winter and looking cute while doing it.
