I'll admit when I got a text from Jessie that said, "I have an idea for a shoot, but you're not going to like it," I couldn't imagine what craziness she had dreamed up that I would not be down for. I asked her what she was thinking and she replied, "sunrise shoot." I consider myself a morning person to a certain extent: I never sleep past nine, I love the routine of getting coffee and starting my day, and I love the feeling that comes with the beginning of a new day...but me being awake before the sun comes up is definitely a rare occurrence. Thank goodness for Jessie who woke me up at six and dragged me over to the Williamsburg Waterfront, because it turned out to be the perfect backdrop to photograph some of my favorite fall items.
The four things I always look for every autumn are a great leather jacket, a black cross-body bag, a pair of heeled boots, and anything in burgundy. Last year it was a burgundy jumpsuit, and this year I decided to add some *~sophistication~* with a lace, mid-length skirt. I've also gotten a lot of comments about my boots from Topshop! I love them and wear them all the time, but I definitely recommend getting Dr. Scholl's insoles if you'll be on your feet all day, especially if you're up before the sun.
